The Alliance Theatre Lab was founded by Adalberto Acevedo in 2001 as
The Modern Stage. After three years of successful shows that included
the South Florida premieres of Hellcab by Will Kern and Nocturne
by Adam Rapp, the theatre took some time off to regroup, add new
members, and refocus their mission statement. In 2005 the theatre
resurfaced as The Alliance Theatre Lab, and went on to present critically acclaimed productions of Burn This by Lanford Wilson and Danny and the Deep Blue Sea by John Patrick Shanley. Sexual Perversity in Chcago by David Mamet and Orphans by Lyle Kessler. In 2009, The Alliance produced its first full season. Together, the new Alliance has refocused the company as an ensemble of theatre artist that focus on contemporary work that Provoke, Challenge and Engage our audience.
